31~ All Hallow’s Eve (2013)

 

While watching two children on Halloween night, a babysitter finds an old VHS tape in the kids’ trick or treat bag. The tape features three tales of terror, all linked together by a murderous clown. As the night goes on strange things begin to occur in the house. It isn’t long before the babysitter learns the horrifying truth… the maniacal clown is slowly working his way into her reality.

30~ Boo (2005)

 

Friends Emmett, Freddy, Marie and Kevin, with his reluctant girlfriend Jessie, decide to spend one Halloween night in an abandoned and allegedly haunted hospital. Meanwhile, the younger Allan meets an old friend of his father, Arlo Ray Baines, and asks for his help in finding his sister Meg, who inexplicably vanished from the same hospital. The two groups meet each other in the mental ward of the haunted third floor and soon discover that they are trapped inside the building. Jessie begins to experience disturbing visions from the past and discovers that the ghost of Jacob, a former patient who killed a little girl and burned the hospital, is possessing their bodies in order to escape his earthly prison.

Four friends put on clown costumes, kidnap one of their old girlfriends from a costume party and hold her in a remote farmhouse in what is supposed to be an innocent Halloween prank. Tensions flare quickly, but old jealousy and resentment turn to suspicion and terror when the group realizes that a masked clown among them has a real axe.

After a traumatizing attack on Halloween night forces Laura to become a shut-in. Her world turns further upside down as she begins to experience increasingly bizarre and frightening occurrences within her home. It is this intense situation which encourages her to seek help in the form of Elizabeth Dean, the webmaster for a popular ghost-hunting site. Dean does not believe in the existence of ghosts herself, but as the mystery surrounding Laura’s nightmare unfolds, she soon becomes a true believer.
